Course Highlights and Objectives
This course provides HR Specialists with detailed information (including manual computations) on CSRS and FERS retirement computations for employees who have performed part-time service during their Federal career. Participants will learn:

How part-time service is credited for eligibility and computation purposes;

How to determine the number of computations required in part-time cases;

How to compute length of service in part-time cases;

How to compute actual and deemed high-3 average salaries;

How to compute benefit proration factors; and

How to compute retirement, death, and disability annuities.
